Kayak Fishing Training

There are many different levels of requirements and skills required when deciding to take up Kayak Fishing. Have you paddled previously? Have you paddled in the open Ocean? Can you swim? Do you understand the surf? Tides? Weather? Are you aware of regulations? What craft would you use? Do you know which fish to target? Do you know how to catch these fish? Do you know what to do when you do catch one? Are you aware of the dangers?

There are lots of questions above, however the good news is that we a Kayak Fishing South Africa have most of the answers for you. Once you have deided to take up the sport of Kayak Fishing we are here to help you achieve your goals. You could do it the hard way by youself and spend many hours doing the wrong things or you could spend a few days with us and learn what we have learnt in years of experience.

We offer three levels of courses and some added exceptional experiences, however we can customise a course to your requirements

BASIC Never paddled before. We practice on the local river and then when you are ready we do surf launches from a protected bay and then prgress to the open Ocean. We cover Kayak construction, safety, paddling techniques, warm up routines, weather, tides, surf, fishing techniques, traces, baits, lures etc. 

INTERMEDIATE You have some experience, however you want to improve youe skills and catch more fish. A  lot of time is spent doing the actual fishing. We look at traces and baits for different species.

ADVANCED You can paddle but would like to take your fishing and paddling to the next level. A lot of time is spent doing the actual fishing and targeting different species. We look at traces and baits for targeting the bigger trophy fish.

THE ADRENALIN RUSH Generally on the South Coast during the Sardine run...A hair raising experience 

GUIDED TOUR You are an experienced angler but just want to know the local waters. We specialise in the Durban South Coast area Amanzimtoti, Warner Beach, Illovo, Umkomaas, Scottburgh, Rocky Bay. Specialising in Umkomaas and Scottburgh.

MOZAMBIQUE Guided tours to Southern Mozambique
